Information entered by you
You are invited to register with us when you purchase from the website. You do not have to register to browse.
We collect information from you when you register on our site and when you make a purchase from us. We use this information to process orders and to contact you if there are any queries in relation to an order. We may need to share your information with third parties, eg delivery companies or credit card companies, in relation to your order and to send you information, or to send you newsletters or announcements about The Camera Centre (Burnley) Ltd. Your name and e-mail address are private, and we do NOT sell or otherwise distribute them under any circumstances.
Except in these circumstances your information will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law.
We use Paypal as our primary payment gateway for payments
PayPal offers secure online payment processing, allowing our customers to use major credit or debit cards or even send payments from their bank accounts. It also allows customers who do not have a PayPal account to process payments
It is more secure for you - you submit your payment to Paypal and they just pass us the details we need (i.e. not your credit / debit card details) and a confirmation that the payment has been received.
A huge number of people (over 100 million) already have Paypal accounts and for those it makes the payment process easier and quicker
The PayPal secure server uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required. To make purchases from CameraCentre, you must use an SSL enabled browser such as Safari, OmniWeb, Netscape Navigator 3.0 or later, Camino, or Internet Explorer. Doing so protects the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information while its transmitted over the Internet.
